Final product

My super learning

Hello guys,

This is my last entry. The course is going to finish. For that reason, I would like to share with you the several projects that I have been doing during the whole course. I have created a terrific presentation using Genially (if you are interested in learn how to use genially, you should have a look at the entry called "slideshow").

I have uploaded every single project. I have also integrated a record explaining each project a bit.

Moreover, I have recorded an extra audio with Audacity and I have integrated The Game of Thrones soundtrack. Therefore, I would like to share with you the audio where I talk about my own experience about the whole course. As I said before if you want to learn more about Audacity, have a look at my podcast entry.

After that, as you can see, I had uploaded it in Ivoox (more information about the tool in podcast entry)

I have used  those tools again because I consider they are really useful and easy to use.

Finally, I have left here my presentation and its link

I hope you enjoy it.

I am looking forward to watching your final projects!!!!

Worldwide project

 Dancing, my life

Hello guys

Today I would like to write about something different. I have been part of an awesome project that is called Worldwide project

It was a great experience through which I could share part of my life as well as learn and get to know experiences of other people.

Flipgrid was the platform I used. You just have to create an account or enter through your google/microsoft account. There, you have several videos of many teachers who share their own experiences such as languages, trips, countries, hobbies, etc.

I consider that it was a nice experience. At the very beginning, I was embarrassed and shy. I had never upload a video talking about my life, my feelings, etc. It was a bit odd. But, at the same time, I think that it was really fun.

In my video, I talked about my experience as a dancer. It was really special to talk about it.

I am looking forward to watching my classmates´ videos.

Here is my video story and also the whole #twima8 grid.

I hope you like it.

Video: finding Katherine

Finding Katherine

Hi mates!

To start with, I would like to insert the link of our previous task; storyboarding.

Related to the previous storyboard, we also recorded a video.

It is doubtlessly, the most laborious task we have created. It takes a long time to think about the idea. We would have liked to elaborate a real resource that it could be used in our future classroom.

Once we had the idea, we started to write the script. Then, we thought about the several tools that could be used for it.

On the one hand, to record the video we used skype. We though it could be the best option bearing in mind the lack of opportunities, to record the video, due to the lockdown. We could record the video at the same time (the three of us). We also used it because skype allows integrating the green screen. Thanks to that, we could add great backgrounds (really useful tool taking into account that our content was related to European countries).

After that, Imovie was the tool used it to edit our story. There, we integrated backgrounds, songs, images, our own videos, etc.

As Mary had to perform several characters, she used Snap Camera. She is a really good actress!

On the other hand, considering educational scope, we would use the video to encourage our students as well as teaching a new content in an entertaining way. Therefore, we would use it as introductory task (Social Science).

Finally, here is the link of our video. I also embed it.

I hope you like it.

Storyboarding

Finding Katherine

Hello everyone!

Today I would like to write about a great tool that could help us as teachers.

Storyboard that is an online tool in which stories can be created. It is divided in frames and scenes. It has a lot of features. You can design your story through a wide range of resources. For instance, the different backgrounds, characters, shapes, timetables, etc. You also are able to upload your own images. I loved the huge number of available resources. I also loved the easy usage. At the very beginning, it was a bit messy, but when you get accustomed to the different resources, it is easy to use it.

Our storyboard is based on European countries (Social Science). There has been a burglary and the inspector has to find the criminal. The inspector is going to follow the clues and evidences through the different countries.
During the trip, several remarkable country things will appear. That is to say, capitals, monuments, sculptures, museums, flags, etc. Therefore, teaching all those contents will be our main goal. It will also engage students. I consider that as teachers, we have to involve students into the contents, but in an entertaining way.

This storyboard will be used as introduction to the content.

Here is the link of our storyboard.

I hope you enjoy it!

Podcast

My new Audio Project

Hi there.

To start with, I have developed an audio project for social science.

Here you are all the details of it.

Secondly, I would like to share my own experience. To develop my audio project, I used Audacity and Ivoox tools.

On the one hand, to record my podcast, I used Audacity.

Audacity is an online tool through which you can record and edit audios.

It was the first time that I used it. I believe that is really difficult to use the computer program. There are several tools to edit your audios. For instance, you can upload your own audio sources or songs from youtube. You also can choose different sounds of the own programme.

On the other hand, to upload my podcast, I used Ivoox.

Ivoox is an online platform that enables people to listen to other podcasts, upload, download, and share audios. It was also the first time that I used that great resource.

From my point of view, it is a useful tool. Regarding educational scope, it gives teachers opportunity of sharing and storing several audios. I loved their easy usage.

Here is my podcast and my channel.

I hope you enjoy it.

Digestive system

Easel.ly

Hi friends!

Today, I would like to show you my new digital poster. Maybe, you are wondering, what is a digital poster?

My entry will describe you what it is and how it used the specific tool.

Easel.ly is an online tool through which you can create infographics. In this way, students will learn content, topic or whatever in a visual way. Therefore, students learn better in that it makes complex data easier to understand. It also motivates students to learn.

Moreover, it avoids dullness in class.

Images, graphs, objects, etc are powerful resources that help us acquiring information. The main reason is that the brain acquires information more likely through visuals such as images, colours, illustrations, etc.

Here you have the link of my digital poster. There are some videos, if you click on my picture and click on orange image, you will watch it. https://www.easel.ly/infographic/987q6q

On the other hand, Easel.ly is a great tool. Templates, objects, images, arrows, graphics, pictograms, files are some of the resources of it. You can also upload your own images or download some of them included in the tool.

What I liked the most was that there are plenty free templates.

The worst part of the tool is free limited resources. You have to pay if you want to download your infographic. Also, you have to pay if you wish more resources or public your infographic.

The digestive system information is from an educational video.

Finally, I am embed my infographic. I hope you like it.

Energy mindmap

Coggle

Hello to everyone!

Today, I would like to write about my new didactic project. It is related to energy: renewable energy and non-renewable energy. Therefore, the teacher is going to explain the whole project through an online mind map.

Using the mind map I will help my students focusing on the different aspects of the project. It also will help them memorising the contents.

Moreover, all needed resources will be there (videos, web pages, and images). In this way, it will be easy for them following the project.

On the other hand, some advantages of using a mind map are promoting engaging learning or the development of students´ creativity.

As you can see in the following url, I have chosen coggle to develop my mind map.

https://coggle.it/diagram/XoDd-I9Rpi4-7Iqp/t/energy/5c6775603b2f7be3fc77bbf928c79f2c57031f088c835e97c8af8ff569ed01e8

Coggle is a free tool through which you can create online mind maps. You just have to create an account or log in with your email account.

First of all, you will see a tutorial explaining you how it works. After that, you are prepared to create your own mind map. You can add images, insert videos, web pages, etc. All kind of resources throughout their url.

The worst part of the tool is free limited resources. In contrast, what I like the most is the idea of collaborative work. This is to say, you can work on your project with other people. It also has an easy usage.

Here you have my own mind map. I hope you like it.
